The challenges of making a game-related movie

What are the challenges and process of producing a short movie linked to a yet-to-be released video game? Using the example of Ghost Recon Alpha, prequel to game Ghost Recon Future Soldier launching May 22nd/24th 2012, the speakers will address how they went about recreating the virtual in the real world. They will explain how real effects, 3D elements & VFX in post production were handled, and address the constraints they had to face with particular emphasis on the VFX supervisor’s role during shooting.

The presentation will include the screening of the final short movie (24 mn), excerpts of the film’s making of, and show some parts of the upcoming Ghost Recon Future Soldier video.
