MIkros+

The partnership between Mikros image and Eight VFX has thus given birth to the label “Eight+ Mikros”. This innovative association aims to set up and develop a series of common projects, keeping with the spirit of the French studio and the independent boutique of Eight VFX. The joined forces of these two well-known companies and their shared vision of the future will allow them to expand their creativity, supported by their teams who already know each other. Merging resources and tools will allow technical exchanges such as D.I (digital intermediate), CGI and of course R&D (Research & Development), starting with the major project “Sebastian 2”.

Based in Santa Monica, a strategic spot in the film post production industry, Eight VFX has been establishing itself as one of the most creative post production and visual effects studios. The post house is characterised by its boutique size and its highly creative team delivering brand new films and advertising projects.

Founded in 2004 and managed by Baptiste Andrieux (Executive Producer) and Jean-Marc Demmer (VFX Supervisor), the company employs 15 savvy graphic artists.
Currently regarded as one of the most innovative companies, Eight VFX has brought its creative savoir-faire to spots for several brands : HP Pavillion Entertainment, Pepsi, Scion, Guinness, Capital One, Coca-Cola, American Express, IBM, BMW, etc…
These projects have allowed the team to work closely with international talents, starring among them : the brothers Michel and Olivier Gondry, Vera Wang, Joseph Kahn, Tony Kaye, Acne, etc..
As well as the advertising market, the company completed a music video for The Vines, and created the visual components of Daft Punk’s World Tour.
After a first collaboration at Digital Domain where they won the “Clio Award” for the Adidas “Robotic Legs” spot, directed by David Fincher, Baptiste Andrieux and Jean-Marc Demmer supervised the effects for numerous feature films, including “Hostage” directed by Florent Siri and “Two Brothers” by Jean-Jacques Annaud.

The association between Mikros image and Freestudios generates a common label « Freestudios+Mikros ». This exclusive partnership aims at developing and realizing common projects driven by a shared vision of excellence. Both companies have now the opportunity to enhance their artistic capacity and to achieve greater ambitions. Freestudios+Mikros offers a significant alternative to important Europeans announcers.
